Trivia[]
- This is the first experiment where Jon and Jory acknowledge that they're testing out something that happened on Mythbusters. Jon also puts a "do not try this at home" advisory notice at the beginning of the episode.
- Jory tapes Sandra shut, in case the lava lamp would blow the door open.
- Jory had to give Sandra a "love tap", in order for her to turn on.
- This is the first time Jory ever turns away during an explosion/fire/etc. It quickly becomes a trend.
- The lava lamp didn't actually explode. The cap on the top just popped off.
- Sandra remains the most colorful microwave. The only other girl that came close was Sarah with the food coloring, but that was only one experiment. Sandra had a multitude of brightly colored experiments.
- It's acceptable to microwave a lava lamp, but only if it's under 3 minutes.
- This episode consistently has the most views of all of the microwave episodes, and it was the first episode to have more than 1 million views.
Quotes[]
- Jory: As always, the Sharp carousel microwave. It's basically the reason I live. I just want to give it gifts, like a lava lamp.
- Jory: I'm not sure what I just put my finger in on the bottom, but it's wet...
Jon: Oh-ho! Probably the snow globe, Furby, I don't know- Magic 8 Ball. Maybe the air freshener, maybe the pen... There's a whole number of things it could have been! Congratulations! You're now contaminated!
- Jory: It's like Russian Roulette!
- Jory: This definitely is the most colorful season!
